The front and back cover of this book were very colourful and inviting and made me want to read.

When I first started to read the book, I found there were rather a lot of characters introduced in the first few chapters and I found myself going back to see where each one fitted into the story. However this made for a fast paced interesting read and on continuing I did not want to put the book down.

I enjoyed the fact that the book was split into two stories of different families, when I first read this on the back cover I wondered whether the book would be disjointed, but because it was so well written, it flowed easily from one part to the next.

My favourite character in the book was Beth Moorhouse, she is a strong character who holds her family together.

The book was excellent value for money, of good quality, one I would definitely read again and recommend. It is clearly apparent from reading this book as to why Debbie Macomber is a bestselling author in America.
