Soap bars have made a massive come-back recently and I for one am a huge fan. There are so many benefits to using them that its hard to see why their popularity wavered for a while. I blame the big beauty companies for needlessly enticing us towards expensive liquid face washes, various cure all potions and shocking amounts of plastics. So to get an opportunity to test out a natural soap brand for me is something I couldn’t resist. I’m already a fan of the ECO Warrior Shampoo Bar so was keen to see how their skin soaps compare.

I received 2 different bars from the ECO Warrior Beauty Edit range. The first was the Hand and Body Chill-Out Bar containing Shea Butter and with a strong (and simply divine) citrus scent. The second was the Sensitive Face and Body Cleansing Bar with olive oil and green clay. This has a more subtle scent of citrus with some other tones mixed in which I couldn’t quite make out but the combination was just lovely.

I tried both soaps out as did my family. We used them in the shower for face and body. I found them both to be really good and refreshing to use. My skin felt clean and they didn’t dry it out or that of my children whose skin can be quite delicate. We all tend to suffer from dry skin on our faces so it’s a real test for us so see how new soaps cause our skin to react – they passed that test. They lathered up well and gave the feel of a luxury product which was enhanced by their uplifting scents. My favourite was definitely the chill-out bar based on the gorgeous scent.

The products are made from 99.9% naturally derived ingredients which is a big draw for me. Both are vegan friendly and have been developed without any cruelty to animals. What’s more, is that they come packaged in a small and attractive cardboard box which is completely plastic free and fully-recyclable. Again, high on my list of priorities when choosing beauty products is the packaging. If it’s too much, not recyclable and contains a lot of plastic then I will walk away. But the ECO Warrior soaps have got it just right!

I absolutely love this product as well as the ethos behind it. I will definitely be buying it again when these bars run out. At a retail price of £4.49 this is an real bargain. The soaps will last my family of 4 for weeks and there is zero wastage.

I don’t even need to think about the rating this product gets from me, it’s a straightforward 5/5 for a great, environmentally friendly, skin friendly and purse friendly product. It would also make a fantastic Christmas gift to help introduce your friends and family to more ECO friendly everyday beauty.
