I liked the colours of the tiles; four different piles of 15 tiles in pink, blue, green and orange each held on a stand with spike and each spike attached easily to the top which has a carabiner, so it can be attached to a bag or ……. I also liked the sense of humour on the packaging with regards to the recommended ages to play the game.
Instructions on the packaging were okay if you had played Connect Four or similar games but if not, you needed to watch the video of how to play which is easy to understand. This can be found on the company’s website. A small snag here, the website address is not on the packaging. However, there are clear instructions for the game on the Amazon website.
The tiles were the right size and sturdy and if the tiles did not have a ridge on them, you could have had more tiles per person though the number of tiles was not a problem.
An easy game to play and fun but the rounds were quite quick, and after about 6 rounds you wanted to play something different.
One of the players thought that the tiles could be in more contrasting colours such as yellow and red so that they are much easier to see if playing in poor light or with poor vision.
It is important to have a flat and fairly large surface to play this game, so it is great for playing on a flat sandy beach as the tiles are easy to wash and store. It can also be played on the grass but this ideally needs to be short so the tiles lined up easily.
The game made the younger players realise that they needed to keep counting other people’s tiles both horizontally, vertically and diagonally otherwise they just kept losing.
A nice family game which as it says can be played (almost) anywhere so easy to keep in the car for day trips out and local holidays and definitely a must for delays at airports with the flat floors! A travel game I would definitely recommend.
