The birthday box from Five Little Monkeys is a fantastic idea for a birthday gift for little ones – or for any other special occasion – Christening, birth, arrival of a sibling etc…, particularly if you’re not going to see the little one in person and need something to post. You can shop online or go into the shop on Planks Lane in Wombourne, and have the personalised birthday box delivered straight to the recipient. Five Little Monkeys specialise in branded children’s wear and with a second birthday coming up I was looking for ideas.

Five Little Monkeys were able to help and gave a really personal service. I contacted them via their Facebook shop www.facebook.com/FiveLittleMonkeysChildrensWear with a budget, the birthday girl’s age and her interests (Frozen and Peppa Pig!) and within a day Five Little Monkeys came back to me with several suggestions. I was able to select from a wide range of items, clothes, nightwear, swim wear, shoes, wellies, towels, hair accessories, crockery and more. I selected some pyjamas, shoes and a set of socks. All I needed to do then was wait for the birthday box to be delivered. It arrived on time, packaged with a beautiful pink ribbon around the box and a personalised decorative label featuring Elsa from Frozen and the birthday girl’s name and age. Inside the box were two pairs of great quality Frozen pyjamas. One in shorts and t-shirt style and one with longer trousers and sleeves. The birthday girl was also pleased to receive some super cute Frozen jelly shoes featuring Elsa and Anna with a lovely sparkle to them.  The three pack of frozen socks was also a big hut, featuring Elsa and Anna (again!). Also included in the box were some surprise items which fitted in perfectly with the chosen Frozen theme. There was a pink plastic Frozen bowl with matching plate, a pink metal Frozen drink bottle, a large birthday sticker book set and a cone of mixed sweets. The birthday girl was thrilled with her personalised Frozen themed box of delights and I was impressed with the helpful service and range of products to choose from.

Five Little Monkeys started out as an online Facebook shop in April 2013, run from home selling mainly pyjamas and licensed t-shirts. That year, they came up with the concept of Christmas Eve boxes, selling pj’s in a box with everything else you need for Christmas Eve: popcorn, snowman soup, mince pie for Father Christmas, Christmas craft, Christmas Sweets and a Christmas cup. In October 2014 the shop opened, expanding the range to a far bigger selection of clothing, backpacks, socks and vests etc… and now in 2015, they have just introduced a range of footwear. They have also launched the birthday boxes – for these you just select as many or as few items from the shop as you’d like (prices start from 99p for hair accessories and £4 for a t-shirt) and they put it in a personalised box for any occasion. They add a toy, a jigsaw (or age relevant item) sweets and a balloon. They then just charge £6.50 extra for the box to include free personalisation. It can be posted for £3.
