Everyone loves a bunch of flowers but I hate that they don’t last very long and so I was intrigued by the Black QUBD MBOS ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ Preserved Rose.
Historically Mother’s Day isn’t a gift giving celebration in our family as it’s my Mum’s birthday mid-March, but I like to acknowledge the day with her, especially as we live so far away now. The Black QUBD MBOS ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ Preserved Rose was something different to give.
There’s was no charge for postage, so I was pleased it came well packaged in a box with plenty of bubble wrap. It is a good size to display (around 10cm tall and wide) and comes in a solid glass bell cloche which could be reused afterwards to display a wedding cake topper (for example). The words “Happy Mother’s Day” are somehow written, maybe hand painted, on the petals of the rose. I wish I knew how they did it?! Apparently, it’s 100% natural and non-toxic to people and animals and each one is unique. The instructions state that it could last up to a year out of direct sunlight and high humidity.
At £30 it’s quite pricey but if it lasts a year like it suggests then it beats a £25 bunch of flowers from a florist or similar that die within a week.
The roses come in 3 different colours (baby pink, white and yellow) and the base can be selected as clear or black.
It would make an unusual gift for a flower lover especially one who doesn’t have a great track record keeping fresh flowers fresh or plants alive.
My mum enjoyed receiving the flower as it was so different but I think I’ll stick with fresh flowers or a plant in future as I think she would prefer them.
