We tried and tested one of their products for ourselves. For review we tried the Rigour Wheat Full Grain Leather Steel Toe Cap Safety Work Boots (RRP: £34).

I work as a builder so my work boots really do go through it. My last pair got so uncomfortable that I could not bear to wear them anymore. We went into the Luton B&Q store to buy a new pair. A helpful member of staff directed us to the workwear aisle. There was a good selection of workboots on display and more stock then stacked on high shelving.

I opted for a pair of Rigour ones. They are wheat full grain in colour and have a mesh lining. The outsole is made of dual density polyurethane. Even the midsole is protected by steel and the boots have steel toe caps.

So, what about the most important test? I put them on and they are so comfortable. They are bliss to wear for my whole work day and also easy to drive home in. I assume this has something to do with their energy absorbing heel. Both the tongue and collar are padded adding to their comfort. I also like the fact that they are oil resistant.

They are reasonably priced and I can see them being long lasting. So if you are in need of good quality workwear at reasonable prices then why not have a look at the B&Q website or visit one of their stores.
