The square box which holds the game’s contents is well designed, compact and full of detail. The instructions on how to play the game are printed on the box itself and on a card within the box; which I think is great just in case you miss something and have to refer back to the information.
The contents of the game are neatly contained within the box and the instructions are clear and simple to read and understand. The theme of this particular BrainBox is Shakespeare but others themes are available including Animals, The World and Roald Dahl to name a few.
The premise of the game is simple, study a selected card for ten seconds then answer a question correctly to keep the card. There are eight questions printed on the reverse side of the card and the player must roll a die for a question to be chosen. You play for ten minutes and the person with the most cards after that time wins.
I particularly enjoyed this Shakespeare edition of the game having read a few of Shakespeare’s plays. I intend to play this game with my daughter too as I feel that it is also a great educational resource. It makes learning about Shakespeare fun!
I think the game is good value for money with it priced at £9.99. I would like to see more themes in the BrainBox game as I think it is a brilliant concept. It would be good to have the option of purchasing additional card packs as I can imagine that once the game has been played a few times it may become predictable.
Would be perfect for Shakespeare Week 16-22 March 2015. Suitable for ages 8 Years +.
Available to buy from BrainBox here.
