The only way to survive is to be the best. They only way to be the best is to be the biggest, the strongest and to survive months of exhausting carnage in the deceptive seas.

Our main character Hal is unwillingly forced into the command of a group of boys- the outcasts. These are the boys that no one wants; they are small and sinewy but definitely not lacking in nerve and determination. Now the fight against the others in a race where there can only be one winner and winning means survival.

A heart stopping adventure book filled with dramatic twists and non-stop surprises. Watch as friendships develop and are destroyed by the need to live. A page turner that will leave you gasping for air as you turn page after page of inventive and the random bits of witty comedy.

I recommend this book to people that like fast paced action (and the occasional bit of violence). This book is probably more suited to boys but I suggest you give it a go.
