These stencils are made very well from easily washable acrylic and the detail is fab.
The overall size of the circle is 4 inches plus a 1inch handle and then the size of the flamingo is 58mm x 41mm and the size of the bee is 42mm x 54mm. So I then had to have a look and decide what I could do with the stencils.
They are called cooking stencils but can be used for far more things than that. And with Valentine’s just around the corner I thought let’s have a practice at a couple of different ideas to make for Valentine’s Day.
I first decided to have a go at making a small cake. Now even though the cake turned out pretty well (even though I say so myself) I did struggle a bit to get the stencil to turn out. Ok, first my hand moved whilst dusting over the stencil therefore it not looking like a flamingo and my second attempt getting the stencil to close and it sticking to the icing. BUT I’m sure with a bit of practice I can do this and the next cake will look good.
I then went onto make a lovely fruit salad dessert with naughty but nice thick cream on the top and hey presto, the flamingos stencil print looks pretty good.
Not to stop there with the thick cream I made a Hot Chocolate thick cream on the top (sorry diet) and the Bee stencil looks cool!
Like I say I think practice will make perfect. There are plenty more great stencils on the website that all could make fab gifts, or like my idea to use on Valentine’s Day and surprise your other half with your creations. Or even put a smile on your face.
So why not check out the website and you also could soon be decorating your hot chocolate, dessert ideas or even the top of cocktails.
