With Mother’s Day coming on 6 March 2016 I was invited to the Cabot Circus Shopping Centre in Bristol for a Mother’s Day event. The centre has over 90 shops from beauty and fashion to jewellery and technology plus restaurants and a cinema, so something for everyone.
I arrived at Cabot Circus Shopping Centre 11am with my daughter and granddaughter for a pre Mother’s Day shop and pamper. My daughter took my granddaughter to find me a mother’s day gift while I went for a pamper.
The Body Shop
The first shop I visited was The Body Shop, the staff there were very attentive, and were happy to explain the company’s ethical policies to me. I was quite surprised at the amount of makeup and skin care on offer for some reason I thought it was more about bath products, but they have an extensive amount of makeup, they also help you choose the correct product for you skin type. I was given 2 tabs to hold on the cheek and forehead which they match against a chart.
I was then given a facial using products specifically for my skin type, it was very relaxing and enjoyable, I would recommend it for a Mother’s Day treat.
All products are made ethically with no animal testing, and the store will make up a gift set of your choice, you are not restricted to the sets on offer, they will even personalise products from the Roses Collection especially for Mother’s Day.
House of Fraser
My next stop was the House of Fraser where I received a hand treatment using the Clarisonic Mia 2 Face Cleansing Brush.
Currently priced at £125.00, with more than £40 of free products included, cleanses 6 times deeper than when using product alone and would make an amazing Mother’s Day gift, why not take Mum along for a free pamper.
We went for lunch at Pizza Express despite the restaurant being very full the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was delicious.
The dough ball starter was warm fresh and tasty.
The pizza was thin and crispy and again really tasty. For dessert I had cheesecake with vanilla ice cream, very tasty.
My daughter and granddaughter chose Brownies which they enjoyed.
The presentation of each course was excellent and our server Marrii was really efficient and friendly and appeared genuinely passionate about the food she was describing.
I had a fantastic day and would recommend taking Mum’s to Cabot Circus for a treat for Mother’s Day. You can spend all day shopping, getting pampered and with plenty of places to eat you can really treat that special person in your life.
So if you are in the Bristol area why not pay a visit to the Cabot Circus Shopping Centre with 120+ shops and restaurants and pick up that perfect Mother’s Day gift or if unsure of what to get you can always pick up a Cabot Circus Gift Card from £5 to £500 that can be used in most of the shops, restaurants and even the cinema within the centre.
