My Husband, myself and our 2 girls (ages 5 and 10) went to Camelot Theme Park as we had some 2 for 1 vouchers.

We arrived and paid £56 for the 4 of us usually it is £28 per person so we made a big saving.

The first thing to catch my 5yr olds eye was the Caterpillar rollercoaster which she couldn't wait to ride. We picked a good day as the park was empty so didn't have to queue for any of the rides!

My husband and the 10yr old wanted to watch the Jousting so we split up and I went on the Caterpillar with the 5yr old. The ride was a lot more fun than it looked and we both came off with huge smiles.

We met up with the others and watched the Jousting and were all blown away by the show. The girls loved the fact they were able to stroke the horses after and meet and have photos taken with the knights.

After the show it was time for some rides, our first stop was the Galleon Ship. The girls loved it but us 'older ones' felt a little sick and were glad to get off. We then went on the Falcons Flight and thoroughly enjoyed it, we were lucky enough to get 2 turns as the place was empty.

Feeling a tad brave the 10yr old and I decided to go on the Whirlwind which is a high speed spinning rollercoaster. We both screamed until our throats hurt but enjoyed it.

We all walked down to the Log Flume and got soaking wet but we soon dried and even went on it again later on.

We went on almost every ride and enjoyed them all.

The day finished with a trip to the gift shop to but some keepsakes, the prices in the shop were extremely reasonable and the girls were very happy with their inflatable mallets.

Camelot is a wonderful day out for everyone and the atmosphere is electric.

My tip though is to go on a cloudy drizzly day as the park was deserted.
