I love to colour in, many a meal time in a restaurant with the children, you’ll find me joining in with them. I often said to my partner it is actually relaxing. Well, imagine how pleased I was to discover Creative Therapy. Recently my life just got a whole lot more hectic, to sit down and have the time to relax and colour is a real treat. This 128 page book has a thick card cover and has an example of the artwork on the front.

The pictures are so intricate, it took me ages to decide which one I wanted to colour first. I decided on a very ornate owl design. The designs mean that you can decide whether to colour in a larger block in one colour or to colour each segment in separately. I decided to try with the children’s felt pens, the ones with the finer nibs. I like to take time to think about colours etc… so the picture really kept me captivated for over an hour. Next time I get a spare moment, it is going to be in pencil crayon.

At the back end of the book the pages turn into half drawn designs, giving you the opportunity to doodle away at your heart’s content as well as colour.

I would definitely recommend the Creative Therapy Colouring book for any adult that has an interest in arts and crafts but not necessarily an artist.

Taking time out to just colour, block out everything that the day has thrown at you is surely a way to de-stress.
