Socks are the perfect gift for Christmas. The challenge though, is to find socks with a bit of a difference. That’s where Critically Endangered Socks offer the perfect solution. They’re socks with a conscience; donating 20% of sales to charities that support endangered species. The idea is simple, depending on which pair of socks you purchase decides which charity your money gets donated to. Each sock has a different design. Have a loved one who loves dolphins? Then why not get them the Maui Dolphin sock? Perfect.
The socks not only mean that you find a fun and innovative way to donate to charity. but also provide a really thoughtful gift for Christmas. The socks look great and are of a really high quality. Adding to that, as an extra special touch they come beautifully packaged in a way that communicates the concept really simply and effectively. The box they come in is also recyclable.
I was lucky enough to try out the Borneo Orangutan and the Maui Dolphin socks. Both in their own unique colours and adorned with the animal they benefit embroidered on them. They felt so soft to the touch and once on were lovely and comfortable to wear. Made from a mixture of cotton and bamboo, each came with its own little fact card explaining what the purchase means and what the socks represent. As well as a fun fact about the animal that they benefit.
The socks retail at a great price of £12 a pair and I think they make a unique, thoughtful and socially conscious gift, that will definitely get used and can be personalised for that special person around their favourite animal. Other socks on offer are the Hawksbill Turtle, the Sumatran Elephant and the Amur Leopard. Critically Endangered Socks make a great gift for that person who has everything. I give them a 5/5 for the ethos as well as the quality of the product.
