Whether you're after a mid-afternoon coffee and cake or something more substantial, D’nisi makes for a tasty, friendly stop off.
With a wide selection of hot and cold drinks, sweet treats and full meals, it's a genuine neighbourhood cafe where the service is friendly and the surroundings welcoming and unfussy.
We visited the Shawlands outlet in Glasgow at lunchtime on a Saturday. Just about every table was occupied, but the vibe was much more cosy than crowded. There was certainly enough room for our one-year-old to get stuck into the toy box and crawl over to the window to wave at the friendly server who'd nipped outside to knock on the glass and make her laugh.
The coffee is excellent, and we can thoroughly recommend the empire biscuits. Easy to see why it's so popular with the Shawlands audience – will definitely be back.
