Edifier Compact Portable Speaker MP211 Review

I have tried some different types of Edifier speakers in the past and have always been impressed with the quality, then I was asked to review their compact portable speaker and once again I am very impressed.

The Edifier MP211 Compact Portable Speaker comes in a range of 5 colours (black, blue, pink, white and yellow) and measures an impressive 150 × 62 × 31mm, a perfect size to fit in your pocket or bag.

OK, so it’s yet another portable speaker on the market, what’s the big deal?

This little speaker is equipped with Bluetooth so can connect your phone or tablet wirelessly and have great sound. But that’s not all, with the Bluetooth connectivity and small built-in microphone you can use it as a hands free speaker for your phone so would be great for group conversations.

And equipped with a NFC (near-field communication) connection it enables connecting NFC enabled smartphones or tablets very easy.

It also has an auxiliary port so you can plug it straight into your device with the supplied cable.

And probably my favourite, it has a microSD slot so you can play your favourite music direct from the card without the need for any other device.

Controlling the volume, skipping backwards and forwards between tracks or switching to the phone mode is all very simple as the speaker has all the buttons on top of the speaker.

At the loudest volume (which is loud enough to fill a room) there was no distortion and still sounded crisp and clear. It has twin Twin 1.5 inch neodymium drivers and passive bass radiator so sound is from the front and rear.

The speaker lasts between 8 and 10 hours on a full charge of the Li-ion battery and a micro USB cable is supplied for easy charging from a USB port.

Overall this is truly a brilliant compact portable speaker for use on the go. Small and simple with clear sound and plenty of connectivity options it is definitely a must for people on the go. It even comes with a wrist carrying strap.

I cannot fault it.
