Generally I am a tea drinker, but I do like an occasional coffee, and the weather being so warm and sunny lately, I jumped at the chance to review the Emmi Caffe Latte Iced Coffee range.
I set out to find an Emmi Caffe Latte, and at first I struggled in my local Tesco Superstore. I don’t know why but I expected to find them with the ‘to go’ drinks, normally with sandwiches. However they were not there. I asked a staff member who directed me to the milk aisle, which is where I found them.
I chose the Vanilla Caffe Latte. I like lattes from my local (very expensive) coffee shop, so I was interested to see how it would compare. It was smaller than I imagined, but the cup is robust with a good ‘to go’ top. The packaging is a nice design with each ‘flavour’ having a different colour sleeve. You can choose from Cappuccino, Skinny, Vanilla, Caramel or Decaff. Priced at £1.35 they are a very reasonable price when compared to coffee shop prices.
I was very surprised to find that there was lots of flavour in my first sip. I imagined that a pre-packaged iced coffee would not have that full roasted flavour but it did. The vanilla flavour was just right. I loved it. You can tell that the ingredients used are of good quality. The Emmi website tells me these are ‘the finest arabica beans from hand-picked highland plantations in Central and South America and India’.
I have already purchased more of the Emmi lattes and liked them all. This tea drinker may have been converted!
Available to buy from Tesco, Waitrose, Sainbury’s and other supermarkets.
