Personalised Gifts Shop Christmas Eve Gifts Review

Reviewed by David Savage

Christmas is fast approaching so the time for hunting for gifts has begun. Personalised Gifts Shop do a large range of personalised items for all occasions including birthdays, weddings, back to school, Halloween and, of course, Christmas. I was lucky enough to receive 3 items from them for review. I received a Personalised Oak Christmas Eve Box, a Personalised Santa’s Magic Key and a Personalised Classic Santa Stop Here Sign.

The latest trend hitting the UK seems to be Christmas Eve boxes. I had never heard of these before so didn’t know what it was for or what you put in one. When I was sent a Personalised Oak Christmas Eve Box I can see why they are becoming increasingly popular and think they are a great idea, especially to get the kids into the Christmas spirit.

Personalised Oak Christmas Eve Box

The Personalised Oak Christmas Eve Box is a bit smaller than a shoe box, measuring W:21cm L:13cm D:8cm. The Personalised Gifts Shop website describes it as a large box but I would be more inclined to describe it as medium sized. It is made from solid oak, is well made and is definitely solid and looks and feels like quality. The life off lid is decorated in red and black and personalised with the names of the twins who it will be given to and really stands out on the oak finish. A great box to give a gift in and store little treasures and keepsakes.

So, I like me, you have never heard of a Christmas Eve box you can put whatever in as small gifts to be opened on Christmas Eve (kids are always asking to open their presents early and this box is perfect for it). Some examples of things to add are: new Christmas pyjamas, sweets or treats for family time on Christmas Eve, a Christmas DVD to watch with the family, a Christmas book for bedtime story, reindeer food (after all, Santa does need to feed his reindeer while travelling the world), a letter from Santa (you can print free Santa letters from www.freelettersfromsantaclaus.com) and, of course, the Personalised Santa’s Magic Key so that Santa can let himself in if you don’t have a chimney for him to come down!

This is a very good quality box which is very sturdy and solid and the print on the box is of a high standard. This will make an excellent Christmas Eve gift box for anyone. The price of £29.50 may seem expensive but it is made from solid oak and not plywood or MDF, so you are paying for quality.

Personalised Santa’s Magic Key

As mentioned earlier, we also received the Personalised Santa’s Magic Key. As children are always asking how Santa will get in the house to deliver their presents as not many people have chimneys these days, this is an excellent item to add to the Christmas Eve box so that the kids can leave a key out for Santa to let himself in through the door.

This metal key measures approx. 8cm in length and comes presented in a red gift box. It features a cut-out Christmas tree on the head on the key and a metal fob with the words “Santa’s Magic Key” or you can personalise it with your own words (up to 24 characters; 2 lines with 12 characters on each).

An eye-catching key that will spark joy in children knowing that Santa will easily be able to visit. At £14.99 it is a great price for the quality and presentation.

Personalised Classic Santa Stop Here Sign

Lastly, we received a Personalised Classic Santa Stop Here Sign. This is a white wooden door plaque (slightly too big to fit in the Christmas Eve Box) that measures 18x13cm. It is printed in red and blue with a sort of distressed look around the border. It features the words “Please Stop Here” in big red letters and then has 3 lines of text that you can personalise with your own message; 20 characters for the first line above the please stop here text (my reads Santa), 15 character for the second line below the please stop here so here text (my reads for Tom & Jack and finally, 30 characters for the third line where you can add a message (my reads They have been very good all year.” It comes with a string to easily hang over a door knob.

It sign is very made and it’s not so thin that it will break easily. At £12.99 it probably is slightly more than I would normally pay but it is very good quality and the print is bright and vivid.

Overall, I am very impressed with the quality of item from the Personalised Gifts Shop. They are perfect Christmas items, extremely well made and will last for years.
