Footner Exfoliating Socks promise you baby soft skin and as I have the worst hard skin on my feet I was delighted and very thankful to be given a pair to review. Retailing at around £20 they would make the perfect gift for someone special who would like smooth feet for Spring!
The inside of the sock is made of a thin, soft material and will fit all sizes (I’m a size 6 and there was plenty of room). The sock is covered in a plastic cover and there is a sticky material tab to secure them to your feet. The socks are full of clear fluid and I had to be careful to put my feet in without losing any of it.
First thing you have to do is soak your feet in water as it helps the process if your skin is damp. The instructions said to leave the socks on for 60 minutes and after I removed the socks, I could see there were some patches of skin that were peeling away but I didn’t feel it was too noticeable and was a bit disappointed. However, reading through the instructions it does say that it can take up to 14 days for your body’s natural peeling process. You aren’t meant to peel your skin, just let it fall off (this was a challenge!). However, the results after seven days were nothing less than miraculous. The hard skin peeled off in huge strips and my skin felt soft and comfortable. I was delighted with the outcome and would use these exfoliating socks again.
You can repeat the process every couple of months and although it does state on the box that it is only one application, I think it would be better if the company would consider selling the fluid separately. It seems a waste of this product to only use it once and then dispose of it, but it did the trick and I would use the product again. You do need to leave at least three weeks between treatments.
Sunbathing isn’t recommended after using the product, so you need to make sure you avoid the sun or use plenty of sunscreen. You should avoid using if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, diabetic or have sensitive skin.
