The 1974 classic Foxy Brown has been remastered and is now available to buy on Blu-ray.

Foxy Brown (Pam Grier) is the girlfriend of an undercover narcotics cop, Dalton Ford/Mike Anderson (Terry Carter), who after failing to smash a drug and prostitution racket and corruption of high level officials has had plastic surgery to change his appearance.

Her brother Link (Antonio Fargas) owes $20,000 to them and when he figures out who Foxy’s boyfriend is he sells the information to Steve Elias (Peter Brown) and Katherine Wall (Kathryn Loder) who arrange the murder of Mike Andserson.

Foxy is determined to find her boyfriend’s killer and becomes a high-class prostitute for the Katherine Wall Modelling Agency.

She is now out for revenge but will she succeed?

Overall, a very enjoyable film about drugs, violence and revenge. As it a 1974 film it is not “politically correct” so if you are easily offended it is not the film for you. A great storyline and very well acted by Pam Grier. An excellent story of revenge with a strong female lead star. Will keep you entertained to the end and has a nice twist to exact the most amount of revenge on the killers of her boyfriend.

One to watch, has been around for nearly 40 years and will be around for a long while yet.

Rating: 5/5
