After my recent trip to Frankie & Benny’s on St Anne’s Street in Manchester to review their new menu I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. Firstly the service was excellent as on the original date we were booked in, we had some troubles arriving due to a crash occurring, which when I rang the restaurant the manager was very helpful and understanding and was more than happy to rebook us in at a more convenient time and date. So the following day we arrived promptly and was quickly seen to and sat down in a convenient spot which was important to me as I had two young children in tow.

The service was exceptional with our waiter being very attentive and quick with offering us drinks, starters etc… It was nice that the staff were also friendly and helpful with my son and niece who I was with. We started by ordering a starter platter of dough balls which came extremely quickly and were nice and soft and the perfect temperature to tuck straight in my 9 month old son was very happy with these.

For mains after a long deliberation as there was many options that looked appealing we settled for the New Jersey chicken and a BBQ pulled pork pizza. The portion sizes were on the larger side and there was plenty of food for everybody. The service was very fast and the food was nice and fresh and very yummy!! The children had sausage, mash and beans and the other had Spaghetti Bolognaise it was really nice that they offered to bring the children’s food out slightly earlier which helped hugely as I was able to cool down the babies food enough for him to eat prior to my food arriving.

Our waiter was extremely attentive and was on hand to refill drinks and hand out activity packs to my four year old niece which kept her occupied and happy whilst waiting. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and the service as the quality and quantity were to such a high standard. The environment was very relaxed and friendly which I personally liked as it allowed us to feel at ease which is hard to do when eating out with a messy, loud baby led weaning baby.

After this we surprisingly managed to fit in two children’s deserts, one adults and a coffee. The children both loved their desserts one being the fruit salad and the other had the ice cream sundae both of which was gobbled up in a flash. We also enjoyed a salt caramel cheesecake which was lovely and light.

I would definitely recommend this Frankie and Benny’s to my friends and family in the future as it was a very pleasant and friendly experience and is definitely a family friendly restaurant. The new menu has lots of choice and there is something for even the fussiest of eaters. I would rate this restaurant as five stars as we had an all-round pleasant experience and would definitely go back in the future.

Rating: 5/5 thumbs_up
