We arrived at Go Great Toys in Manchester with ease. We used the post code provided and could see the shop easily from the road. We entered and were greeted by the friendly member of staff and the manager Fiona. We were seated in the craft area and it was explained how it all worked. We choose an item to decorate then we go to the till and pay for the item and depending on the size we pay for the paint etc… to use on it. It was very good value, items range from around £2.49 up to around £5 and then the paint use costs around £2 for a small item ranging to £5/6 for a large item.
I attended the session with my daughter and her best friend and her mum. There were plenty of items to choose from, including initial letters, boxes, animals and picture frames. The majority of the products were cardboard but some were porcelain.
The girls chose to decorate matching handbags and me and my friend decorated a circular box each.
Usually our girls argue like sisters, however, they sat for around 1½ hours in virtual silence painting, sticking and gluing their masterpieces. It was great because it allowed me and my friend to sit and relax, painting our boxes yet still assist the girls when they needed it.
The staff were very informative and helpful throughout the experience, bringing extra red and white paint over for our pink obsessed girls and offering drinks and help.
We had a lovely day out and we have already decided we will be returning again, it is excellent value for money and the shop was lovely too. It contained lots of brilliant craft and gift ideas. I purchased some lovely keep sakes for my new nephew.
I would definitely recommend Go Great Toys.
