From the moment my 4 year old son saw the Jetpack backpack you could see he was genuinely excited. Within seconds of putting it on he was literally zooming around the house, pretending that the Jet Packs were super powered.

We have now had the back pack for nearly a week, and its appeal hasn’t faded. Both my youngest, at 4 and my eldest at 7 have great fun chasing each other around. They use imaginative play when ‘activating the controls’ on the shoulder straps and have created a number of games and scenarios where they can include the Jet Pack in their games.

Quality wise the Jet Pack is made to a very high standard, the material is sturdy and the stitching etc… looks as if it will last the test of time, and little fingers will be able to open zips with ease using the nice big zip fasteners. There are a total of 7 compartments of differing sizes, including a side bottle holder which looks as if it may offer some insulation. The Jet Packs themselves unzip at the top revealing 2 different compartments, a smaller at the top with a mesh pocket and a longer cylindrical compartment which would be perfect for a pencil case.  The Jet Pack also has a number of reflective strips, and is brightly coloured, helping your little ones be visible at all times.

So far, the Jet Pack hasn’t really been used for its main purpose, carrying things around, as the only thing that has been stored inside so far is my son’s favourite teddy bear, who was apparently going on his space adventures! However am sure that, once necessary, the Jet Pack backpack will stand up to any carrying challenges with ease.

With so many ‘character’ backpacks on the market it is refreshing to see one which so readily lends itself to imaginative play as well as serving a practical purpose. With a rrp of £29.99 (includes UK mainland postage) you may think that this is definitely a high end product, however when taking into account the quality, design and play opportunities it offers I genuinely think it is worth every penny. Well done to Harry and Jacks for creating such a simple, yet effective, product.
