The packaging is colourful, slim and the pictures on the box are all the instructions you need to put up these shades. There are 2 blinds supplied in each pack, so can be used to cover both back windows.
These roller blinds are easy to fit (either clip directly onto your window or using the suction pads). We did the latter and the suction pads are very effective – they seem to be able to keep inquisitive hands from wandering and pulling the blinds off.
The material is a lightweight, yet sturdy mesh which is effective at keeping out the sun’s glare, but doesn’t stop you looking out and also seems to be capable of withstanding little hands pulling.
The blind can be rolled up at the push of a button! The button is on the right hand side of the roller – but you just need to remember to lift off the bottom suction pad before attempting to press the button. My one improvement would actually be to put this button on the left – not sure if it was me as a left hander or a general comment, but I found it a bit awkward to lean in and press the button and would find it handier if it were on the opening side of the door. However, this doesn’t detract from the use of the product and, as I say, is perhaps more of an improvement suggestion not a criticism.
The width of the blind is 37cm, which is not wide enough to cover the whole of a car window, but is wide enough to keep out the sun from most angles. The length of the blind is adjustable and when pulled down and suctioned onto the window forms a strong protection for child’s eyes.
Once no longer needed, they are easy to remove and fold down to compact size to store in the car for later use.
A compact, easy to use and effective car blind – I would recommend it. It certainly sorted out my problem of a screaming baby who didn’t like car journeys with the sun in her eyes!”
