I received the elephant slippers yesterday and my boys absolutely loved them, they look just as good as they do in the pictures.
They arrived well packaged, wrapped in tissue paper sealed with a Hector & Queen sticker and came with a lovely rope handled bag made from recycled paper.
The slippers are beautiful, and an instant hit with my 3 year old boys.
They are hand made from grey woollen felt, with pink felt detailing around the mouth and inside the ear flaps, and lovely embroidery for the facial features. The sole is made from a non-slip material and sewn on with cross stitch detail. They look very robust and I’m sure they’ll stand the test of time. The slippers are washable, which is a must for children. There are only 4 sizes so not an exact fit (size 1=0-1 years, size 4=1-2 years, size 8=2-3 years and size 10=4-5 years), but I don’t think this is too important for these types of slippers.
From £24.95 to £26 per pair (includes free p&p), I feel that they are a little pricy, but they are adorable and handmade from organic compressed wool and presented in a beautiful organic rope handled bag so they would make a lovely gift and be loved by any little boy or girl. They are also available in other animal styles.
Hector and Queen support TUSK an organisation that has been initiating and funding conservation, community development and environmental education programmes across Africa for 25 years. 20% of each purchase is donated to this cause.
I would recommend this company if you want something a little different and who support worthwhile causes around the world. All their products are designed and created using natural and environmental friendly products.
