Jolene and her husband Michael seem to have it all perfect kids, a gorgeous home and they adore each other but you soon realise it is all a mask and the reality is very different.
Jolene is a soldier who is deployed to war leaving Michael at home to hold the fort.
There is a lot of anger, sadness and resentment in the family and soon things are at an all-time low.
With divorce on the cards and Jolene in danger will this once loving family pull together and fight for what they need or will it be blown apart for good.
A good book which is very sad in places, it really shows you how war can change a family.
Well worth a read!
