Hotsquash Pleat Waist Dress Review

I have a rule when I’m shopping for clothes, only buy it if there a something a little bit different about it. So I’m always looking for a ‘feature’ or benefit from each item I buy. So I applied this same principle to this pleated dress to decide whether I would buy it normally.

To begin with, the dress offers style through the diagonal waist and the pleating and gathering of the skirt; this means that when it’s on, it’s really flattering to the figure and looks so classy. It’s simple yet eye catching at the same time, making me look like I’ve put a lot of effort into my look. The material is incredibly soft and although it looks and feels delicate, is hardwearing and durable.

Not only that but there is lots of hidden technology within – not something I usually look for in a dress admittedly, but the more I consider it the more I realise that the benefits are stacking up. It may look like a thin lightweight dress on the outside but the clever technology keeps me feeling snug yet allowing my skin to breath without fear of any clamminess or dare I say it offensive odours. On a more practical note, its washes really well and dries very quickly, which in my house (one husband, 2 children, one cat and one very frantic mummy) is very important as the washing/drying cycle here is like a factory line.

I would wear this dress everyday but for me it’s definitely something I would love to wear in work making me look and feel professional. It can be dressed up with heels and jewellery for a night out or dressed down with a pair of knee high boots to chase the kids around the park in. So, back to my original question. Would I but this dress? At an RRP of £85 it would definitely be a purchase that I could trust to get value from, with the quality of material and the benefits it offers I know I would be wearing it for years to come. So, lead me to the cash register!
