It wasn't difficult to get my six year old Lala-Loopsy fanatic daughter to watch this DVD. In fact, having moved house that week and with rainy weather, it was the perfect thing to keep her entertained! She has enjoyed it so much that she currently watches it on a daily basis! I tried to encourage my 8 year old son to watch it too but he lasted about 2 minutes so I would say this would mainly appeal to a female audience!
The movie is one story lasting around 45 minutes although two 'mini adventure' stories can be found in 'extras'.
A sew magical tale is a well written adventure that would most likely also appeal to slightly older children too. It features a whole range of Lala-Loopsy characters, including the classic dolls, mermaids, fairies and even Lala-Loopsy star fish! All have been animated in the Lala-Loopsy style you will be familiar with if you too have a child who is a fan! The style is very appealing to young girls with the dolls eyes and various background features made of buttons, water made from strawberry milk and each girl wearing fancy dresses! My daughter reliably informed me that some of the characters shown were the same as the dolls that can be bought.
This may well appeal to young girls that haven't even discovered Lala-Loopsy’s yet but parents, be warned… after watching, they are very likely to start asking you for their own Lala-Loopsy doll!
I asked my daughter for her own review of the DVD to which she replied, "I loved it because I felt like I was in Lala-Loopsy land!” Obviously a happy customer!
With an RRP of £9.99 it is a fair price for a movie of a product which is currently so popular!
This gets a 4 out of 5 as it’s a pleasant DVD, ticking all the right boxes for little girls but didn’t dazzle me as some children’s DVD’s have been known to. However, for entertaining my little girl whilst I was so busy, I am a happy Mummy!
