I was delighted to be given the chance to review www.lottoland.co.uk. I do occasionally like to have a go on slot machines, do the lottery or buy a scratch card in person, but a website where I could bet online is fairly new for me. I therefore logged in and took some time to get to know the website. First of all, I had a look at the add funds option. Being someone who sets myself sensible limits, I was happy to see that you can set your own deposit limit. There is even a games reality check option, which is set to 1 hour at present, but can be adjusted.
So how does Lottoland work? It’s a great concept. You bet on the outcome of various lotteries and win the same prizes as with those lotteries themselves.
Now for the fun part. How would I spend the money in my Lottoland account? I decided to have a go at 3 different ones:
The 1st I bet on was the Euromillions; I had 2 goes at a cost of £2 for each. What I had to do was choose 5 numbers and two stars. I opted for the Tuesday Draw, but you can choose just Tuesday, just Friday or both Tuesday and Friday. I am waiting to see how I got on, which is all part of the excitement.
The 2nd I bet on was the Powerball; For this lottery I had to select 5 numbers and my bet cost £3. The draws take place on a Thursday and Sunday and you can opt for either day or both. Because I opted for Thursday, I will find out on Thursday how I get on.
The last lottery I bet on was the Irish Lottery; My bet cost £2. I had to select 6 numbers. The draws take place on a Wednesday and Saturday. As with the other lotteries I bet on, you can choose one of those days or both. I will find out on Wednesday this week how I get on.
There are so many different lotteries that you can bet on using Lottoland. I spotted that El Gordo, for example, has a 2.1 billion prize pool. If I had even 1 million pounds, I would buy my mum and dad a nice home to retire to abroad, I would buy the other director of my company a nice house and one for myself and my family. I would also set up some kind of charity. I would still work as I think I would be bored otherwise, but I think I would be working from all kinds of exotic locations. I would put some money away so that the little people in my life are set up for their further education and a deposit on a home. I would also buy presents for those people who helped me in the harder times of my life.
After setting up my bets for the 3 lotteries I chose, I then decided to try out some of the scratchcards and online games. The scratchcards I bought had £100,000 cash prizes, Euromillions scratch and Megamillions scratch. I won a few prizes totalling £30 on the Euromillions scratch which I used to play more games and buy more cards.
The games I tried were Lottoland Roulette, which I won £6 on and Diamond Deal which I won a few pounds on. Diamond Deal was my favourite. It was fun clicking to guess where the hidden diamonds were. The jackpot for a certain number of diamonds in a row was great.
Overall, I really enjoyed the time I spent on the Lottoland website. I would use the website again with small deposit limits which I set for my own budget. I appreciate that everyone is individual which is why you can set your budget to what suits you. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of scratchcards and games on offer. The website looks great and options are clearly laid out.
As with any type of gambling, please gamble responsibly, set yourself a maximum limit that you can afford and do not go over.
I would recommend the website to others and would rate it 5 out of 5.
