Lush Cosmetics Review

My almost 13-year-old daughter was over the moon to be sent a selection of 5 fantastic Lush products.

To say my daughter is cosmetics mad is an understatement. Her and her friends discuss beauty products a lot amongst their friendship group and my daughter regularly tries out new beauty products.

The first product she received was a Lovely Blusher, which is suitable for vegans (RRP £15.95). The blusher was perfect for her pale skin tone. It was easy to apply and went a long way. It looked natural on, which as a mum I was delighted about as she did not look caked in make-up.

Lush really do care for the environment as the case the brusher comes in is recycled and can be recycled at home or at your Lush store after use.

The quality of the product itself is second to none. Product design is simple yet elegant.

The second product my daughter received was Dream Cream Body Lotion priced at £14.50. My daughter has sensitive skin, so flare ups can be a concern.

I needn’t have worried. The product itself was easy to apply to her skin and soothed and hydrated it. As an animal lover, my daughter and myself are delighted that Lush products are not tested on animals. Using the product was like wrapping her skin in beautifully soft silk. As with all Lush products, the packaging was simple but stunning.

The next product she tried out was Eyes Right Mascara. I use mascara a lot myself and it can really irritate my eyes. Once she had applied the mascara her lashes looked like they had more volume whilst still looking natural. Her eyes did not react to the product, which is a huge plus. The mascara even contains several vitamins.

Lush love caring for our precious environment. If she takes back 5 black pots (and the mascara wand), she can have a face mask for free. It’s great that Lush encourage their customers to recycle the empty product containers.

Stunning packaging which I have come to expect from Lush. £15.50

The 4th product she was lucky enough to try out was Refresh Bronzer priced at £15.95. This product too is suitable for Vegans. Beautiful designed packaging as always with Lush and the empty pot can be recycled at your nearest Lush store or at home.

My daughter’s sensitive skin was not irritated at all by this product. This may be due to the organic rose hip it contains. Her look was natural. There is nothing worse than seeing teenagers caked in layers thick of make-up.

The final product that she got to try out was Dad’s Garden Lemon Tree Body Spray, priced at £15 for 200ml. This spray goes a long way and is therefore worth the price. The smell is delightful.

This product is ideal for those muggy summer days were you are worried about having a sweaty smell about you.

I would buy all of these products as a treat for myself or a loved one.

The other thing I wanted to mention was that my daughter recently attended a Lush Party at the Luton Lush shop. It was for a friend of hers and took place around the shop’s closing time. The party attendees had great fun playing various games with Lush staff and were even given £5 of products each of their choice to take home. The birthday girl had a wonderful time spending a couple of hours of fun time with her friends, resulting in many happy memories for years to come. Lush parties cost £20 per person, details can be at https://uk.lush.com/article/do-you-want-party-us.
