Stuck what to buy as a gift for Christmas? How about a mug! You can never have too many and even better, you can buy a personalised one so its unique as a gift.

I recently received a mug from MS Mugs (McLaggen Smith Mugs) and I was really impressed with the choices available on the website. My bug bear is all these websites offering personalised mugs all use these horrible fat mugs that just do not make the tea taste good. MS Mugs offers only bone china mugs which are much nicer to drink your tea from, but also feel much nicer and are whiter in colour!

McLaggen Smith Mugs is a family run business that started in 1974 that now employees 23 people, the mugs are designed and screen printed in Scotland, they are stocked in a variety of shops including House of Fraser and John Lewis. Mugs start from around £10 and are available in various designs with the option to buy personalised ones from around £15. They have a number of templates available so you can add text, a name or message to create your unique mug design. Also, you have the option to add to the handle, the back and the inside of the mug, this is unique to MS Mugs, I have not seen this as an option from other suppliers. When purchasing you have the option to add shortbread to the mug for £1. This made me smile, I do love Scottish shortbread! Not only do they offer mugs but also teapots and smaller mugs too, and they are teamed up with a number of artists offering unique designs including Sir Quentin Blake and Orla Kiely and many more.

I would highly recommend MS Mugs, they are great quality with so many choices and a great price, a perfect gift for anyone this Christmas.
