We were invited to review Migoga Marble Run Super which is marketed as suitable for children aged 4+.
The set comes in a neat box with a plastic carry handle and a picture of the product set up on the front, which is very useful as all the pieces can be easily stored in the box when not in use.
The set is made up of lots of interlocking chutes, bridges, and spinning wheels all in different colours which provide lots of scope for different designs as you become more confident with the essential pieces and where they need to be in the Run. The marbles themselves are plastic and brightly coloured and run through the system easily.
One thing we did find was that there are no instructions with the set so the picture on the front was very useful as a guide. My five year old son could not build it himself and needed the help of an adult but having said that my husband enjoyed putting it together and once assembled my son was very happy to play with it and make small adjustments himself.
I have been looking at Marble Runs for some time as the concept really appeals to me. And having had the opportunity to try one I am not disappointed. This is a toy which is great for creative play and is also very educational. It challenges children who are interested in construction and has a long shelf life as older children will enjoy building new structures while the younger ones are happy to push the marbles through time and time again.
I would definitely recommend the Migoga Mable Run. As a starter Marble Run it’s reasonably sturdy, its lots of fun and the bright colours will definitely appeal to the younger age range. What’s more it has what promises to be a pretty long shelf life in our house, which is always a winner when it comes to new toys!
Suitable for ages 4-10 years.
