We received in the post, a bottle of shampoo, conditioner and a moisturising serum from Nicky Clarke.

The shampoo and conditioner are in square, plastic bottles and the serum is in a tube. I was a little worried about the shampoo initially as it had a flip-top lid; my experience before of such a bottle, has been that it’s not easy to dispense but I had no problems with this one. The conditioner came with a pump dispenser which worked with no problems, although you need several pumps to get the desired amount.

Both myself and my daughter tried the kit. We have different hair types, as mine is short and thick and my daughter’s is very long and thick. She has been nagging me for a long time to buy a shampoo and conditioner that smelled nice and she was very excited by the fragance of the products; my daughter described it as a “marshmallow fragrance”! Regardless, it does smell amazing and from this point, was a hit with both of us.

I have been using the product for just over two weeks but what I’ve noticed, is that I haven’t needed to wash my hair quite as often as I was doing (every three or four days as opposed to every other day). It has given my hair a lovely shine and I can see why it is called a “moisture kit” because it’s given my hair the real “feel-good factor”. The same applies to my daughter; the ends of her hair have been rather dry of late but with a bit of extra conditioner, it seems to have relieved the frizz for her.

When it comes to other products, traditionally I dip in and out of using them, mainly because they make my scalp flaky. This can’t be said for the moisturising serum. It’s not too sticky, smells great, has tamed my hair, whilst maintaining its shine  and it leaves no residue.

Overall, I am so chuffed that I’ve had the chance to try Nicky Clarke’s products. The company has really got it right in terms of the products doing what they claim to do and I would definitely consider continuing to use them in the future. Whilst they aren’t the cheapest products on the market (around £13-£16 a bottle), the fact that you don’t need to use them quite so often, in my opinion, outweighs the cost.

A definite 5 out of 5 stars from me!
