Orchard Toys Giant Road Jigsaw Review

My eldest daughter has just turned 3, and loves imaginative play at the moment, so we were thrilled to be offered the chance to try the Giant Road Jigsaw, by Orchard Toys. When it arrived it was packaged in a cardboard box with the Orchard Toys Logo which was then stuffed with brown paper to prevent anything rattling around. The box the jigsaw comes in is bright and colourful which makes it eye-catching, and also means t looks nice displayed on a shelf.
Inside the box, there are twenty road jigsaw pieces, in a mixture of straight pieces, corners, and junctions. Every piece is compatible and this allows you to make many different shaped roads. Each piece is about 6 inches and the actual bits that slot together are large and easy to manage for little hands. They are made of thick shiny card, so are very sturdy and durable
The first day, my daughter excitedly got the pieces out of the box, then gathered some vehicles, whilst I put some pieces together. She then happily spent some time playing independently (her little sister who is 11 months also joined in with some supervision).
The next day, we got it out again, but this time my daughter was a bit more adventurous. She placed her toy castle in one of the gaps created by the roads, and along with her cars, she also played with people and animals.
Two days later my daughter’s friend came over, the puzzle came out again along with a princess carriage and some fairies for my daughter, whilst her friend, a little boy who is 3, was happily playing alongside her with a tractor and a fire engine.
My daughter has really enjoyed the Orchard toys Giant Road Jigsaw and I know that she will continue to for many years along with her sister. The Giant Road Jigsaw retails for £13.95 and can be purchased from www.orchardtoys.com. I think it is a lovely item, and a brilliant price. It makes a great versatile toy for boys and girls.
