Pinto Mexican Hope Street Glasgow Review

My fiancé and I were delighted to be chosen for this review opportunity as we both really like Mexican food.

We arrived at the Pinto Mexican on Hope Street in Glasgow at 6 pm and were taken over by the gorgeous smell coming from the open plan kitchen/ service counter which was nice and brightly decorated and very welcoming. It was very reminiscent of a create your own sandwich shop.

We were greeted by three lovely members of Staff (Emma, Emy and Dani) who couldn’t have been any more helpful in helping us decide what we were going to have from their extensive menu.

My fiancé had the Pulled Pork Burrito which was full to overflowing and I had the Pulled Pork Quesadilla. Once our food was ready we then took it to seats up on the mezzanine floor to eat. The food was absolutely beautiful and full of spice and texture and was presented in little red plastic baskets.

The food although lovely could have been warmer as it cooled very quickly.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was very warm and welcoming although the music was not to my taste. The restaurant provided excellent toilet facilities that were obviously kept to a high standard and for parents on the go they provided high chair facilities for babies although I am at a loss to what a baby would eat.

The restaurant is situated in a busy street right outside Glasgow central train station so there are no parking facilities.

While this is not a high class or 5 star restaurant it does not pretend to be. If you are looking for a quick bite of tasty food at a reasonable price I could not fault it.

Overall I would give this restaurant 4 out of 5 and would certainly return and recommend Pinto to my friends.

Rating: 4/5
