Seedling Junior Gardening Kit Review

The first thing I noticed about this kit was how well presented and eco-friendly the packaging was.

I carefully opened the packaging and found the following items:

1 Pair of children’s gardening gloves
1 Terracotta plant pot
3 Gardening tools (Rake, Shovel and trowel)
3 Different shaped planter sticks
1 Information leaflet

My daughter Kate was at school when the kit arrived which was ideal as it gave me time to nip to town for some soil and seeds. At first I didn’t have a clue which seeds to buy as I am not very green fingered but after reading the leaflet I soon knew as it had the seasons and types of plant that grow well in each season.

I opted for Sunflower seeds.

As soon as Kate arrived home later that day we spent a good hour on this activity and Kate adored the gloves as she looked just like her daddy as he has gloves too.

Kate and I followed the simple instructions and in no time at all we had  planted our seeds and all that was left to do was choose a planter stick, Kate chose a butterfly shaped one and we wrote what had been planted and the date and carefully popped it into the pot with the seeds.

Kate enjoyed this activity immensely and rather impressed me by knowing which tools she needed etc, I think I have a Charlie Dimmock in the making!!

Kate asks to see her seeds on a daily basis and helps to water them each day and gets very excited when she sees a new sprout.
