When I opened the box, I instantly fell in love with the design of these boots. They are brilliant for casual days out and for everyday use. I loved the placement of the two silver buckles. They add character to the boots and give a nice focal point. The small heel is ideal for me, as I don’t like flat shoes, but can’t walk in heels, and the quilted back gives a lovely casual finish to the boots.

Until I tried to put the boots on, I couldn’t flaw them in any way. There are two zips on each boot. One functional, one for display. The zip on the inside of the ankle is the functional zip, however I didn’t need to use this zip to get the boots on. The zip on the outside of the leg is the display zip. This is clearly explained in the product description on the website. Ideally they could have done with being the other way round, as I struggled to get the boots on without this side zip. After changing my trousers to skinny jeans and wiggling my way into the boots, I found them comfortable and although they were a little tight around my calves (I am a size 10, so hardly have large calves), after a few days of being worn in, they seemed to ‘give’ a little more than they did when I originally tried them on. They may not be well fitting for ladies with very narrow feet, but they fitted my feet very comfortably.

The quality of the material used is good, and is what I would expect from the price of these boots (£24.99). The synthetic leather is soft and the inner material is very comfortable, and does a good job of keeping feet warm. The stitching is very good, although at the top of the boot, some of the ends of the thread are visible and haven’t been cut close to the boot. This does not affect the use of the boot, and was only visible to me upon very close inspection. The boots are 100% waterproof, as I found out when my daughter insisted on me joining her for a puddle splash! Whilst testing out how waterproof the boots were, I also found that they were easy to run and jump in, which is a necessity when out walking with children.

The box the boots came in was a simple plain white box. They arrived in perfect condition without any damage from transit, due to the packaging. All of the packaging can be recycled (or as I found, can be used as a toy car for a toddler, then recycled!).

I would recommend the product to ladies looking for casual, comfortable boots on a budget. They are good value for money and I will definitely be using them through the winter months.
