Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs at The Hawth Crawley Review

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs can only be described with one word; Amazing!! On Saturday the 9th of December I took my two children to The Hawth theatre in Crawley to see this panto. Before the show we parked easily in the large free car park and made our way into the large lobby area. We were early so took advantage of the restaurant facilities and had something to eat. The service was good, the staff friendly and very helpful. Most importantly the food was great, quick and hot.
Shortly afterwards we went and found our seats in the stalls. There is no restrictive viewing which is great for children and adults alike. Unlike other premises that I have been to there are plenty of booster seats for the smaller members of the audience to use free of charge.
This panto was undoubtedly the best one that I have ever been to. A must see this Christmas for the whole family. From the cast to production, to set design and choreography. It was well thought out and put together. The comedic element between Stephen Mulhern, Richard Franks and Michael J Batchelor was perfectly timed and they came across to the audience as if they were enjoying every minute they were spending on the stage. I really liked how they got the audience to participate and involved in the show. The atmosphere was fabulous.
The second half was even better with the 3D elements, a highlight that both my children are still talking about. For me the stand out performances were Stephen Mulhern with is ability to interact with the audience in such a natural way that it felt comfortable and Lucy Kemp for her portrayal of Queen Ivannah. Her vocals were amazing and how she danced and walked around so confidently in those heels I will never know. Lastly, I recently saw a Queen Tribute act and Richard Franks’ performance at the end of the show blew them out of the water from performance and talent perspective. My children however, both loved Groover – Jamie John. They were both unanimous in this decision.
I would whole heartedly recommend this panto, as I have said above it is A MUST SEE if you can go. I have even been considering seeing it for a second time. I can’t wait to see what they do next year!
