When I received this mug I was more than pleasantly pleased. It exceeded all my expectations in both quality and design! A perfect Easter gift!
The packaging for the mug was a recyclable sturdy box that was decorated very simply in a gold colour with the designers name and a ‘peep hole’ in the front which allows you to see the cute design of the mug.
Firstly, the design is so pretty and being a bit of a chicken lover, I fell in love with it. The design consists of some rather cute little chickens of three slightly different colours, spaced out and separated by little blue eggs. Then on the inside rim of the mug there is the phrase ‘chick, chick, chick, chick, chicken’ written in the same ‘duck egg’ blue colour of the little eggs. The effect of this design is both cute and elegant, and as I said before, I LOVE it.
The second thing I noticed was the size of the mug, I honestly was expecting a much smaller cup size (as I tend to find with the fine bone china items I’ve had in the past) so was happy to see it was a decent size for a nice big cuppa. When picking up the mug, you instantly feel the quality of the china and the handle feels nice and sturdy.
All in all this is a great mug that has now become my firm favourite for my morning coffees and I am definitely considering buying some more for when I move to my new house and what is better is that they have a whole range in this design.
This mug is available in 2 sizes: Standard (275ml) for £11.50 or Large (425ml) for £14.50.
