St Georges Day in Luton

“Here Be Dragons”
in the heart of Luton

Courageous knights and elegant princesses take note. This coming weekend, St. George’s Square in Luton will be alive in honour of all things English.

To mark St. George’s Day, a one-day only Celebration of England and St. George is taking place from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 21 April. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun at this free event that is taking place on St. George’s Square in the centre of Luton.

There will be entertainment for children and adults alike. You could enjoy a traditional Punch and Judy performance or watch English medieval and folk dancing demonstrations. Or perhaps Maypole dancing is more your thing. For those who enjoy a bit of high octane action, don’t miss the combat demonstrations. However, a celebration of St. George wouldn’t be complete without a dragon, so we’ve invited along Luton’s very own Dexter the Dragon. Dexter, along with his sidekick Darren, will be doing two performances of Dexter and Darren in: Party Dance Funtime throughout the day.

We can’t guarantee that there won’t be occasional April showers, but we can guarantee plenty to see and do, so make sure you bring along friends and family. The whole thing kicks off at 10am. We look forward to seeing you there.
