Suck is a rock ‘n roll vampire movie with bite.

The Winners are a relatively unknown and struggling band who will do whatever it takes to get a record deal. While on tour their manager quits, they have no money and have to sleep in their tour bus which is actually a hearse. After yet another mediocre gig their bassist, Jennifer (Jessica Paré), decides to go to a party and returns the next day as a vampire. Jennifer has a sexy new appeal for fans and the fortunes of The Winners start to shift for the better. But Jennifer has a taste for blood and one by one takes the other band members with her all while leaving a trail of dismembered bodies in their wake.

Meanwhile, while the band are turning into vampires and their gigs getting more popular the lead singer Joey (Rob Stefaniuk) is being warned by a mysterious barman (Alice Cooper) and music producer Victor (Iggy Pop) about the vampires and they are now all being pursued by the one eyed vampire hunter, Eddie Van Helsing (Macolm McDowell), who just happens to be scared of the dark and hunting the Queen vampire (who happens to be a man!).

Will The Winners get their record deal and become famous or will they meet Van Helsing’s crossbow?

Overall, while on paper Suck seems a rather silly film and it will probably never win any awards, I found it to be strangely enjoyable. With a good cast including Alice Cooper (who in my opinion could pass for a real vampire with his leathery face). With lots of innuendos, murder, fun and music it is definitely a film you need to watch and make up your own mind.

Jessica Paré as the sexy vampire is brilliant and plays the part perfectly while seeing Moby playing a hard rocker called Beef (“I only have 45 words…… but they are 45 important words. Then I get eaten!” – Moby) was great. The radio DJ, Rockin’ Roger (Henry Rollins) has a great line “Touch yourself, touch a friend… but don’t touch that dial!”.

If you like rock music, vampires and comedy then this is one I would recommend.
