Super Wubble Bubble Ball Review

So the sun has finally put its hat back on again and it’s time to drag the kids away from their tablets and get back outdoors.

If you are looking for something fun and portable that they can play with then here is the perfect product. Take a ball and cross it with a bubble and you have Wubble! It’s an inflatable ball that behaves like a bubble and it is seriously good fun!

It was pretty much like nothing I’ve ever seen before, our kit came complete with a pump (you will require 4 AA batteries) and the Wubble. On taking it out of the box, it has to be said that the Wubble resembles a wobbly blue jellyfish, it feels thick and slight slimy. There is a small valve which you insert the pump’s nozzle into (you will need a cotton bud and some petroleum jelly for this) – I found this quite tricky and in the end gave it to my fiancé to do as he has more patience! You have to insert the nozzle in right up to its neck and it had a habit of slipping back out but, once we’d got it into the correct position, it was a very quick and easy way to inflate Wubble.

You can inflate it up to 80cm but we didn’t take it quite that far. I’d say we got to about 60cm, which was a good size for our 6-year-old to be able to handle it as well. There is a slight element of fear that the Wubble is going to pop, like a bubble, but actually it was really robust and easily coped with being chucked about the garden and pushed down our slide!

Our son loved squishing his face into it and the random way it bounced around and we enjoyed effortless hours of fun with it.

Once you’re done you can deflate Wubble and pop it back in its box until next time.  This means it’s effortlessly portable and I can definitely see us taking this on holiday with us – I imagine a sea breeze could have you chasing after it for ages!

Wubble does come complete with a couple of patches, should it accidentally come into contact with something sharp and pop. We were careful to keep it away from our trees and rose bushes and I think that as long as you’re sensible about your surroundings when using it you should remain happily puncture free.

It definitely was a massive hit with our 6-year-old and even we had a real laugh over it as adults. This would make an ideal gift, perfect for girls and boys of all ages (and their adults) to play chasing, bouncing and throwing games with. There are so many ways to enjoy Wubble it has a big 5/5 thumbs up from us!
