The Lowry Theatre is extremely easy to get to and well signposted. It has easy access for car, bus or metro link visitors. There are plenty of nearby car parking spaces available for car drivers. There are also a large variety of different shops, restaurants and bars within the Lowry Outlet which you can take advantage of before your performance starts.
Upon arriving at the theatre we were greeted by a lady on the ticket desk, who welcomed both myself and my partner and my son, we were handed a press pack which provided us with useful information, we were then shown to the Studio.
We had a brilliant view of the set and performers, the seats where comfy with plenty of leg room! There are also disability facilities available and refreshments kiosk in the foyer.
Tadpoles is created by M6 Theatre Company which is based in Rochdale. M6 specialises in creating and delivering dynamic, high quality and relevant productions for young audiences.
Tadpoles is a short production suitable from age 5 years and it consists of two superheroes Captain Clever (Luke Walker) and Captain Conker (Emily Spowage), where rivalry comes into the equation as the duo challenge each other with made up activities such as who can collect as many ‘Tadpoles’, spelling games, sharing froggy facts and problem solving… Can they both work as a team and save the world?
My son was fascinated from the start, the play definitely captured my son’s imagination allowing him in wanting to become a superhero himself. After the play had finished the fictional characters met the children in the foyer to have a chat, take pictures and each child received a sticker. Unfortunately on this occasion my son was too shy to have a picture with the superheroes.
Thank you for a wonderful performance, I will definitely be keeping the eyes peeled for future shows with M6 Theatre Company.
