Ramer Sponges Product Bundle Review

We were lucky enough to be sent a large bundle of Ramer sponges to try out recently, but I didn’t know exactly what it was we were going to receive, so it was lovely to receive a surprise. When I opened the packet, 7 different products tumbled out, in all different shapes and sizes. As soon as the kids saw them they jumped on them, wanting to try them out straight away!

Luxury body sponge (RRP £5.50) – this is an emerald green colour and comes presented in a 100% recyclable cardboard box, with a heart cut out of the front. It feels very hard when you first touch it, but with all Ramer sponges, it suggested to soak in warm water to fully soften the sponge. This sponge is brand new for 2022 and is an ethical alternative to the natural sea sponge (which is actually an animal!) so would be a great stocking filler gift for someone who is more climate and environment conscious. Interestingly it is the first Ramer product to be sold dry in a cardboard box, whereas all the others come sealed wet. This sponge feels lovely on the skin and really helps you bathe in luxury.

Facial cleansing sponges (RRP £3.25) – these come in a pack of two soft round sponges which are ideal for cleansing and exfoliating the skin. Don’t be fooled – you can definitely feel the exfoliation of these sponges, which is great for skin renewal, but don’t expect them to be super soft on your face! These sponges can help to grip make-up and dirt so would be a great stocking filler gift for a skincare addict.

Invigorating body sponge (RRP £4.99) – this comes in two sizes, small and large, and four different colours, and we were sent the large green one to try. It provides a light exfoliation to the skin, helping to invigorate and revitalise. It is a great addition to the shower to help you scrub and clean your skin, and would be a great gift for a self-tanner; exfoliation before applying self tan is a “golden” rule!

Softening wet shave towel (RRP £6.99) – this is a small towel that feels a bit like a shammy leather at first! It is designed for a shaver who may be quite particular about their routine, helping to soften the beard and open the pores for a close shave. You simply soak in hand-hot water and then place over the face before shaving. It can also be used post-shave to wipe away any foam and clean the face. As it’s so small it can easily be stored away in the bathroom but is the perfect size for the face.

Performance sports towel (RRP £6.99) – this towel comes in a plastic tube for storage, with a hanging handle. One of my kids immediately pinched this for their PE kit! It is big enough to dry your body, but small enough to roll up small and tuck away in your bag. It is highly absorbent and great for sports.

Cleansing shammy for sensitive skin (RRP £4.99) – this is another shammy leather like product, around the size of a flannel. It is a gentle way to cleanse the skin in a sensitive way, and environmentally friendly as you can use it to replace make-up wipes. It dries crispy but easily softens back up when water is added.

Ultra soft baby sponge (RRP £2.99) – these come in a pack of 2, and are small round sponges, ideal for babies or just for sensitive and delicate skin. They come in contrasting colours so you can have one for the “top” and one for the “bottom”! They are lovely and soft, non-scratchy, and hypoallergenic. A perfect stocking filler gift for a new parent.

The best things about Ramer sponges is that they harden as they dry which actually helps to prevent the growth of bacteria. We all know what it’s like to find the wet sponge which smells iffy, but you don’t get this with Ramer. They can be machine washed at 40 degrees too, which is a bonus, to keep them fresh and clean.

All of the products we were sent would be perfect stocking filler gifts, which would help the recipient care for their skin but also be easy on your pocket.
