Special Creations joins in the fundraising for local girl Megan

Special Creations joins in the fundraising for local girl Megan!

When Special Creations heard about local girl, Megan Bradshaw’s need of an electric wheelchair they were only too glad to help!

Megan, from Mosley Common is due to go to college next September to study floristry and the electric wheelchair will give her the independence she needs to join in full college life; but as she does not need the wheelchair full time, she not entitled to get one without privately funding it. Megan has a form of cerebral palsy effecting her fine motoring skills and mobility.

“The whole ethos of Special Creations is that we want to be part of the local community. We plan to hold lots of events, which will welcome all families, including Father Christmas visits, fashions shows and coffee mornings. Our shop on Elliot Street Tyldesley, is a fabulous shopping experience – a true treasure trove of ladies clothing and refurbished furniture – but we are more than that… we pride ourselves on fabulous customer service and stocking items which are not run of the mill high street – we want to be different, to stand out from other retailers.” Claire Hodson, Special Creations also explains  “In the past I have worked with people with varying disabilities and know from experience how important it is to get their interests flowing and interacting with the community. I had hoped to have a place big enough to welcome people who could come and join in doing crafts etc and join the team. Hopefully in the future this could be a realisation”

Special Creations will be holding a fashion show at the 180 Dance Club in Tyldesley on Sunday 10th November from 6.30pm until 9pm. Tickets can be purchased for the Special Creations shop on Elliot Street and from the 180 Dance Club. It will be a fabulous, fun night with a percentage of the ticket sales will go towards the fundraising started by Megan’s father, Graham.

“When we heard about Megan’s need of a electric wheelchair we were only too happy to help. “ says Claire “show your support for a local child and a local business; and join in the fashion show fun!”.
