Certificate: 15
Running Time: 96 minutes

The Inbetweeners is a very successful TV comedy series and feature film and now the four friends are back for a second film, this time set in Australia.

Will (Simon Bird), Simon (Joe Thomas) and Neil (Blake Harrison) decide to travel halfway around the world to Australia to see their friend Jay (James Buckley) after breaking up with their girlfriends, all except Simon who wants to break up with his.

Once they arrive in Australia they find Jay working in a club toilet and is not the club’s DJ as he led them to believe. Simon meets an old school friend and falls in love and decides to go to Bryon Bay with her so the gang set off to visit Splash Mountain in Jay’s Peter Andre themed car. While Jay is looking for his ex-girlfriend, Jane, who works at the water park.

As expected things go wrong and see the boys arguing, Will not getting the girl and all four of them stuck in the desert having a near-death experience.

Overall, while The Inbetweeners 2 has its moments and is funny in places but I found this one tired and lacklustre. It had some funny moments but not enough to hold a film together. They could have fit it in to a half hour TV episode and it would have worked better. Not a patch on the TV series or the first film.

The funny moments were funny, there just wasn’t enough.
