The Dragonsitters Castle by Josh Lacey Review

The Dragonsitter’s Castle

The Dragonsitter’s Castle by Josh Lacey is an enticing paperback book. The front cover has an illustration of a dragon and a boy. The format of the book is an exchange of emails between Eddie (the boy) and his uncle Morton. The book has a good mixture of text and illustrations.

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It has some of the issues children come across in life, e.g. parents splitting up, value of money etc… cleverly written in.  I won’t tell you how it ends, but Eddie gets to meet some dragons.

I would recommend this book as a gift. It is the perfect length to not be read too quickly, but equally to keep a child’s attention. I will look out for more books in the Dragonsitter series so that my daughter and I can read more about Eddie and his uncle’s adventures. It’s also great for my daughter or myself to read to my 14 month old twin boys.

This is the third book in hilarious The Dragonsitter series.

Suitable for age 5-7 years.
