We went to see Thriller Live! last night (Monday 11 June 2018) and what a night it was from start to finish this show is amazing.
The Theatre Royal is very easy to get to being located on Royal Parade which is also where all the buses stop are. There is very good parking with three close carparks to choose from and nearby taxi stands.
The Theatre is bright and modern and well laid out it has a coffee shop in the foyer selling a great range of food snacks and drinks and some very nice cake so if you arrive early it’s a great place for a coffee.
The staff are all very helpful and pleasant we had great seats and there were no problems collecting our tickets.
Thriller Live! covers Michael Jackson’s life history of all his songs and is a real tribute to him.
It’s a fantastic energetic show, the dancers are brilliant and put their heart and soul into their performances and all worked together really well, the dance routines being so well choreographed.
The lighting, set and costumes were awesome with the lighting being used to change the set for every song and no lack of sparkle with the costumes.
The lead dancer tonight was Eddy Lima and at times during his performance you could easily believe Michael was on stage.
The singers have such enthusiasm for the songs and their performances Ina Seidou who was the female lead singer has a great voice range and stage presence.
Rory Taylor sang some impressive solos as did Britt Quentin and Alex Buchanan the other male leads.
The band were great and there was a couple of fantastic guitar solos.
Everybody seemed to have a great time, young and old, singing along and all up on their feet dancing, it is a real feel good show and you can’t help but clap along and join in.
This is one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. It is a must see that all ages would enjoy and will give you that feel good feeling.
Well done Theatre Royal for bring us another great show.
