This pillow came in a handy carry bag, it seemed to be much larger (68 x 11cm) than my usual pillows and I struggled to get it into one of my pillow cases.
I wasn’t really sure what a Memory Foam pillow was supposed to do until I looked at the Time4Sleep website. I had heard from various people that they are fantastic. I learned that Memory Foam had been developed to help astronauts. It moulds itself to the body keeping the neck and spine in a better position, and provides even weight and pressure distribution. The foam then returns to its original shape when not in use.
This pillow is certainly very firm, there is no doubt about that. The first night I used it just could not get comfortable, I was still tossing and turning at 2am. I eventually replaced it with my normal pillow. I am the guest who when staying in a hotel chooses the soft pillow option!
I like to squidge or fold my pillow to make it more comfortable, plus I often sleep on my front! The memory foam pillow did not allow me to squidge or fold it, and it didn’t feel comfortable when I slept on my front.
The second night was not much better, but I did manage to fall asleep eventually using the memory foam pillow. After a few nights of not much sleep and feeling exhausted I found a solution. A very thin soft pillow over the top of the memory foam pillow! Not ideal, but it works for me.
While adding a thin pillow on top defeated the object of the pillow I persevered and am still continuing to use it to see if I can get used to it, but for me it is much too firm although it does keep its shape.
