If you like the idea of you and your kids learning about historical inventions and general knowledge then this is a great little game for 2 to 8 players, aged 8+. It comes in a compact tin box that is perfectly portable making it great for car journeys and holidays or for if, like me, you frequently need to prise your kids off an electronic device at home.
It’s educational and in a cool way, the kids engaged with the game very quickly and became competitive almost straight away (always a good sign). The idea is that on your turn, you place your historical invention card down in a timeline. It could be the Catapult, Hot air balloon, motorcycle and so on. Thankfully you don’t need super human knowledge of actual dates to win, you just need to use your brain to work out what came first. The kids were surprisingly good at this! The winner is the first person to correctly place all their cards, when you get one wrong you have to draw another.
It really gives you a good idea of history, everyone gets to play and with everyone randomly guessing at least once… ok a few times, then everyone gets to participate no matter their age or amount of knowledge they have.
You get 110 cards in the box and they are compatible with the other games in the timeline range, so if you love this game like we do, you’ll be able to keep on building it meaning it’ll be a good while before anyone gets bored! Great game and a great price too.
