TJ Higgs at The Capitol Theatre, Horsham Review

The concept of our loved ones whom have passed still being around us and guiding us in life is for some a very positive feeling and for others plain scary. There are numerous psychic mediums who are willing to try and reunite you with your deceased loved ones but how do you know who is real and who is not?

TJ Higgs has been helping families for many years and there is plenty of evidence to show that she has made many families very happy at a very sad time. She has had the opportunity to work with some of the UK’s most well-known and respected male mediums including Colin Fry. As well as this she has been working with families of murdered or missing relatives which must be an incredibly distressing and emotional time.

Some would argue that it is all a load of rubbish and these families are so desperate at that time that they will latch on to anything that demonstrates that their loved one is still around them. I challenge anyone with this attitude to see TJ Higgs show as I did yesterday evening and to feel the same once they leave at the end.

I attended her show at The Capitol theatre, Horsham last evening. If I am honest the jury was out on whether I believed what I was going to see or not. I have never had any kind of supernatural experience and if I am honest the whole concept scared me a little.

There were around 200 people in the auditorium. The age ranges were vast, and some people had come alone, and others appeared to have brought their whole family desperate to see if their loved ones would be there in spirit form.

The show opened with TJ Higgs coming on stage and introducing the evening. What struck me from the beginning was how “normal” she was. She was funny, down to earth and very personable. You felt yourself drawn to her immediately. As the show started she made contact with several spirits in the room and managed with some key information to connect these spirits (one at a time) with their loved ones in the audience. Part of me was desperate to have my relative there so I could believe that everything was real. Sadly, this did not happen, but it was clear by the emotions in the room from people who had been in touch with their loved ones that there was something very real occurring for them.

In the first half, she managed to connect about 4 spirits with audience members and then it was interval time. It was interesting listening to people in the interval talking about what they had seen and heard. There were some very strong feelings from some that this was amazing while some people were not so convinced.

The second half opened with a question and answer session between TJ Higgs and the audience. There were some interesting questions asked and clearly some audience members also had this psychic ability / connection with spirits too.

The second half was similar to the first in the connections made with the spirits and the audience. I have to say, I loved the show and found myself feeling excited about who the next audience member would be to connect with their lost family and how this would make them feel. The most emotive connections for me were a lady who was connected to her mother who she had lost from cancer and a lady who was connected with her son who had died suddenly at a young age. I can only begin to imagine how these people felt knowing that their loved ones were with them in the room and making contact and it is testament to these people that they managed to keep their emotions under control as I am not sure I would have been able to.

At the end of the evening, I left feeling that I had enjoyed a lovely show watching TJ Higgs make people happy. As to my personal beliefs regarding spirits and mediums, I am rethinking my beliefs as we speak. There had to be something happening yesterday evening as there is no way she could have known all of this information in advance. I would certainly be interested in attending her show again!

The Capitol is a lovely venue. A nice sized auditorium, not too big but equally not too small and every seat is a good seat. There is a bar, a coffee shop and a snack shop where you can buy drinks and snacks before and during the show. The prices are reasonable, and the choice is good. All staff were friendly and helpful both in the theatre itself and behind the bar.

Parking is easy with a choice of car parks nearby. The car park I chose, behind the theatre is free in the evening and there were plenty of spaces available. The train station is only a few minutes’ walk away too, so the theatre is easily accessible by all.

I challenge all sceptics to come and see TJ Higgs on her tour to open your minds and challenge your beliefs. You will not be disappointed!
